Our Year 6 transition program focuses on connecting our students to their new school by increasing students and family networking, developing social skills and providing opportunities for students and families to become familiar with the secondary school environment.
The students participate in transition sessions with other students from the local area attending their Secondary school. Transition programs are tailored to meet the individual needs of each of our students.
Secondary Schools Options
St Margaret Mary’s students attend many different secondary schools after graduating from our school including Mount St Joseph’s in Altona and The Academy in Fitzroy (girls only), Emmanuel College St Paul’s Campus in Altona (boys only) and the co-educational St Mary’s College in Windsor.

Life After SMM
The whole-of-child education and nurturing children at our school experience fosters leadership and achievement through secondary school and beyond.
Many of our past students have gone on to achieve great things including leadership roles at their chosen secondary school, advocate roles in the community. sporting accomplishments and much more.
We also proudly have generations of families that have attended the school and warmly welcome new members to our community.
